How to use Bentonite Clay for detoxification of heavy metals,  and all the surprising benefits.

Bentonite is a very old clay that has been used as a remedy for many things. Also known as Montmorillonite clay and calcium bentonite clay.Bentonite clay is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

It also has trace minerals like calcium, iron, copper, and zinc.

Bentonite clay is highly absorptive, with an ability to draw out many heavy metals and toxins from the body. More specifically, it can attract positively-charged particles in the body because of its negative electric charge; this is why it is known as a chelating substance.

How to use the Bentonite clay?

Take 1 spoon of the liquid Clay, mix it in a cup with 1 tsp of Psyllium powder and mix with ½ cup water drink immediately. While taking this mixture it’s important to hydrate the body to avoid constipation. 

Make sure your brand is free of lead and from a good organic source. 

For Skin application

Mixing water with bentonite clay powder will create a paste that can be lathered on the skin to draw out impurities, clear the skin, and alleviate skin blemishes or rashes.

Apply the Clay as a mask and leave for a few minutes to dry. It can then be removed by using a warm wet washcloth.

A concentrated amount of bentonite clay can be applied directly to the affected area and covered with gauze, then left on for a couple of hours before rinsing it off.

For Internal application

Bentonite clay may be used daily without any known side effects, but limit it to 3-4 weeks. If taken orally, use 1-2 teaspoons split between two separate servings. 

The FDA does not regulate bentonite clay products. As such, it can be difficult to know whether the product contains only the ingredients on the label. 

Final Note
